Amangalla Galle is unique as it is among the attractions in a 17th century UNESCO Heritage site. Located in Galle Fort, the building was once part of the accommodation of the Dutch commander and his staff. It is no stranger to throngs of visitors either as under another name it was a favourite stopover for steamship passengers that called at Galle harbour. Using this historic background the hotel has been transformed into a delightful place that recalls times past but is firmly rooted in the present.
The hotel’s accommodation is designed around the needs of modern travellers.
