Designed to perfectly reflect a fusion of architectural and natural elements, Walatta House in Tangalle is noted for being one of the most distinctive villas on the island’s South Coast. Among its many aspects of interest is the fact that it is partially submerged towards a hillside which looks out over the vast Indian Ocean. An ideal example of contemporary design that seamlessly blends in with natural surrounds, the house has been created in such a way that makes the best use of combining indoors and outdoors, adding a sense of spaciousness.
The lush landscape within which the house is located has been well incorporated into the overall design concept. The open-sided living room is positioned facing excellent views of the infinity pool and beyond as far as the ocean. Keeping the feeling of open-air bliss intact, indoors lead you to the bedrooms, making maximum use of natural ventilation.
Relaxation awaits you only a few feet away, as rectangular infinity pools of the Walatta House extend along the entire length of the building. The secluded beaches are also within a few metres down the slope. There is a total of three en-suite bedrooms with indoor/outdoor bathroom facing enchanting views of the gardens.
